Silver D of E Girls Ramble for Children in Need

As part of their Silver DofE Award Expedition Section, Year 11 students combined undertaking their Practice Expedition with taking part in the Countryfile Ramble for BBC Children in Need, to walk, raise money and change children’s lives. The fundraising was incorporated into their expedition to fulfil the Expedition Aim with the added challenge of carrying 65 litre rucksacks filled with all their equipment for camping. The girls walked over three days and camped for two nights.

One team of six decided to walk to raise money and the other team created a photo-log of Pudsey’s journey and adventures in the beautiful Wye Valley and Forest of Dean. An impressive £1050.00 was raised.
