Shonali’s Essay Competition Success

Shonali Banerjee in Year 12 was awarded Highly Commended in the New College of the Humanities essay competition, and was invited to an awards ceremony in London on Tuesday 25 June. The ceremony was hosted by the distinguished Philosopher and Master of the College, Professor A. C. Grayling.

Shonali’s essay was on the behavioural economics question: ‘Nudges have been successfully used by governments around the world to influence people’s behaviours (Thaler 2008), but will we become immune to such ‘tricks’?’.
