Sheets Not Streets – A Special Christmas Delivery

This year Saint Martin’s have been supporting St. Basils in their Christmas Appeal 2018, #sheetsnotstreets.  Every year St. Basils work tirelessly to help prevent youth homelessness.  Supporting young people aged between 16-25 who are already on the streets or at risk of being without a home.  This struck a cord with our young ladies who embarked on supporting the appeal.  Various initiatives were used to raise funds and collect gifts for the young people of the local area.

Each form completed a reverse advent calendar – with each girl bringing in a small gift. We were then able to put these items together to make up 49 gift boxes / bags for the young people. Alongside the gifts, Saint Martin’s also donated 41 items of new bedding. These sheets / duvet covers were either donated by individual girls or staff, or bought from the £300 that the girls in Senior School raised by donating spare change in the weeks leading up to Christmas.

Thank you to everyone who helped us achieve something very special for a very worthy and local cause.
