Noble gases – They are never boring!

|

Today we looked at noble gases. Students were introduced to some interesting facts and we looked at colours created when an electric current is passed through. Students were all then given a helium balloon and using its properties of being less dense than air they had to balance a Cadbury chocolate finger in the air!

This was all themed with 1980’s music and neon glow sticks!

Learning about noble gases, their properties and unique experiments meant that we concluded our programme of events, learnt lots and still had enormous fun.  Lunchtimes won’t be the same next week without British Science Week 2019!
