Saint Martin’s is situated in a stunning twenty-acre site in the centre of Solihull and located in the grounds of the historic Malvern Hall. The School, founded in 1941, provides education for girls from Nursery to Sixth Form, 3 years to 18.

Saint Martin’s School aims to provide an all-round education of the highest quality in a safe, happy, supportive and stimulating environment. All staff give generously of their time and energy to enhance the educational experience and to give support to the girls both in and out of the classroom.

The School consistently achieves impressive academic results, whilst providing a supportive community with excellent pastoral care. Our excellent A-level results in summer 2018 saw a 100% pass rate across all subjects. An impressive 91% of grades received were A* – C and over a quarter of all grades were A* and A. Our GCSE class of 2018 achieved a fantastic set of results, some of the best in the school’s history and featuring the largest ever haul of A* grades. An impressive 37% of all grades were A* (8 or 9 in the new system of marking), while 82% of marks were A*, A and B (6-9) and 62% were A* or A (7, 8 and 9).  In 2018 Attainment 8 tables we have been ranked 1st in the Borough above all other state and independent schools. These brilliant results are testament to our superb teaching staff and the high academic achievements of our girls.

Teacher in Charge of Psychology

Permanent, Part-time (0.5 – 0.6)

The Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen at Saint Martin’s, we are currently seeking to appoint a
Teacher in Charge of Psychology. You will be responsible for the leadership, development
and management of the Psychology department, ensuring that each pupil is positively
encouraged to develop her potential to the full according to the stated aims of the school.

You will be an excellent communicator and manager facilitating the highest quality of
relationships between all stakeholders and representing the department in all matters. You
will have an excellent knowledge of the A level specification.

As part of the role you will make an active contribution to supporting and contributing to the
extra-curricular and enrichment programmes of the school.

Teacher of English

Permanent, Full-Time

The Role

Saint Martin’s is currently seeking to appoint an inspirational Teacher of English.  You will be enthusiastic about your subject and enthuse students through the provision of high quality teaching and learning standards, encouraging each pupil to develop her potential to the full.

You will be an excellent communicator and contribute to the teaching of English to pupils aged 11-18.  You will have excellent interpersonal skills working closely with colleagues and the Head of English to develop and promote the high standards of the Department.

As part of the role you will make an active contribution to supporting and contributing to the extra-curricular and enrichment programmes of the school.

Teacher of History  

Full Time (Maternity Cover)

Required for September 2019

The Role

We are looking for a Full Time History Teacher to cover a period of Maternity leave with effect from September 2019. The teacher will join the existing History Department and share their passion for this popular subject option both at GSCE and A Level.

You will be a dynamic teacher with excellent subject knowledge committed to delivering inspirational teaching to GCSE and possibly A Level.  The successful candidate will be expected to deliver high quality lessons as our pupils are well motivated and confident learners.  You will  ensure that each pupil is positively encouraged to develop her potential to the full according to the stated aims of the School.  The successful candidate will be willing to make an enthusiastic contribution to the extra-curricular programme of the school.
