About Us

Saint Martin’s is where girls thrive, enjoy their journey and succeed.

Girls are happy to be at Saint Martin’s, where experienced and dedicated staff work to provide a learning environment which is stimulating, enriching and nurturing; providing a firm foundation for the educational progress of every girl. By providing opportunities, challenges and support each individual will achieve her very best.

Our girls learn to “have a go” and have fun as they develop their skills and confidence in the classroom as well as during extra-curricular activities, trips and residential visits.

High expectations and an excellent staff to pupil ratio encourage all girls to thrive as individuals; the small classes enable teachers to cement strong relationships with pupils and their parents.

“Pupils sustain an excellent rate of progress, as deduced from lesson observations, interviews and samples of their work. They derive high levels of personal satisfaction in their manifold activities”

The staff create vibrant classrooms where a broad and balanced curriculum promotes independent thinkers, an eagerness to learn, curiosity and a positive buzz about the school.

The core subjects of Mathematics, English and Science and Technology are complemented by elements such as ICT, Geography, History, Religious Education, Art and Design; in addition specialist teaching in Physical Education, Music, Modern Foreign Languages, Dance and Drama enhance the timetable.

Wrap around care is available from 8.00 am – 6.00 pm as an onsite facility, as is a holiday club which is organised by Funfest. Breakfast club is also available.

“The personal development of the pupils is excellent, it is supported by excellent levels of pastoral care and strong relationships between all members of the school community”
