“We have only been in Merville a short while but already we have done many things, from playing cards on the ferry to a cricket match on the beach. Well done 8H for just beating us but we shall get our revenge later in the week!” Victoria
Monday 21 March - Cabourg, Bayeux Tapestry and Ranville
“Cabourg was amazing. All the gardens are so perfect and tidy. It is nothing like I expected. It was so clean with no graffiti.” Hannah
“The food was really different to what I had expected - very tasty and well presented.” Phoebe
“Ranville was a truly emotional place. It was scary to see over 2000 graves. My heart goes out to them.” Morgan

“Merville is so different from what I had expected. The teachers are really nice and so is the food. Today was great as I saw French shops in Cabourg but the Ranville cemetery was very sad.” Eleanor
“The girls have been fantastic and complimented on their behaviour. The tapestry at Bayeux was, as usual, staggering.” Teachers
Tuesday 22 March - Saint Malo & Le Mont Saint Michel
Saint Malo: "I really enjoyed being in a French environment and speaking French comfortably. The shops were very different and I liked looking around." Amelia
Le Mont Saint Michel: "This was an amazing place to look at; it was full of beautiful buildings and shops. This place felt French!" Frankie
Mrs Gibney to Victoria "How can you possibly eat such sweet things?"
Lucy replied "Because we are children and we are disgusting!"
Teacher comments:
"A fantastic day, the girls were keen and eager to get involved. It has been years since we last saw Saint Malo and Le Mont Saint Michel under blue and sunny skies in March."
Wednesday 23 March – Arromanches and Normandy Beaches
“The 360 degree cinema was an eye opener. Seeing these brave people fighting for us to live our lives today is absolutely amazing and memorable.” Cassie
“Carrefour shopping was exciting with the mini trolleys to pile all our items in. It was my highlight of the day.” Corrie
“The beach was really fun. I enjoyed the rounders match (and we won!)” Allegra

Teacher comments:
“Another fantastic day for weather. Girls have been brilliant again. Well done to all the girls in the rounders match, especially Jyoti who scored a rounder!”
Thursday 24 March – Merville Town and More Beach Rounders
“Going to the centre of Merville to buy the food and then preparing our lunch was so much fun. Our finished meal looked great and we won the competition for the overall best balanced meal!” Amy

“I loved making the meal because even though we did not win our travel group worked really well together.” Abbie
Teacher comments:
