Year 6 Netball League Final Match

Year 6B team played Shirley Heath in their final league netball match of the season yesterday. We have been unbeaten in the league so the pressure was on to secure a win to become overall winners of the league. The girls played a closely matched game with end to end exciting netball. There were some fantastic interceptions from Lydia Dalley and Evie Peers who made it very difficult for the Shirley Heath attackers to get the ball past them. Darcie Peers and Isabelle Deakin scored some fantastic goals.

Saint Martin’s managed to keep the lead throughout the game but in the last quarter Shirley Heath scored to make the game a 3 – 3 draw. Evie Peers was voted Player of the match. We will now await the results from the other schools to see our place in the league.
