Girls from Year 2 spent an enjoyable day studying Victorian seaside holidays as part of their History topic. The girls visited Heart Park near Meriden and looked at a Victorian bathing machine, played Victorian seaside games such as hoopla, ball in the bucket and coconut shy.
The park boasts its own purpose built beach so the girls were able to paddle in the water and make sand castles. They enjoyed ice creams, bought souvenirs and even had time to play on the bouncy castle and fun bus!
Everyone thought it was the best trip ever!
Emaan said“This is the first sand castle I’ve ever built!”
Zahra said “I’ve never been to the beach before.”
”Mya said “My feet are all sandy, what shall I do!?”
