We are delighted to announce that Saint Martin’s School has been ranked top of the Attainment 8 (Key stage 4) performance table released by the Department for Education.

Saint Martin’s features ahead of all other state and private schools in the borough, scoring an excellent Attainment 8 rating of 66.6. This is well above the local authority average of 47.1 per cent and the national average of 44.6 per cent.Attainment 8 measures pupils’ average grades across eight GCSE subjects – with the key categories of English and Maths double weighted to signify their importance.Mrs Nicola Smillie, Head of Saint Martin’s said: “We are very proud to have topped the Attainment 8 league table for Key Stage 4 girls across Solihull. Our position reflects the hard work of staff and pupils and is particularly pleasing as it is a reflection of the girls’ abilities across a range of subjects.

We are especially delighted with our outstanding score of 97 per cent of girls achieving Grade 5 or above in their English and Maths GCSEs. We will continue to build on this success.”
