Sixth Formers and staff took part in this year’s “Big Sleep Out” to raise awareness and funds for St Basils. The charity works to prevent youth homelessness by providing support and accommodation.
This was the 25th sleep out organised by the charity and they hoped for 414 volunteers to attend the event, to match the number of young people who are supported by St Basils each night. The actual figure was 440 participants.
Girls and staff constructed a row of terraced shelters from cardboard boxes as their accommodation for the night. To make a donation to the charity please see the St Basils website www.stbasils.org.uk/sleepout.
