Last Tuesday Saint Martin’s hosted the Solihull Primary Schools’ Biathlon. 19 schools took part with over 200 boys and girls competing.
The girls swam 25 metres with Charlotte Inshaw being our most successful swimmer coming in 1st place for the school and being placed 2nd overall in the whole competition. Isobel Hall, Georgia Dalley and Rebecca Prosser achieved impressive times too.
The girls then took part in a 400m run and many of the girls excelled in this event. Isobel Hall, Georgia Dalley, Freya Gallagher and Rebecca Prosser recorded good times and were the fastest girls in the run for the school. This is particularly impressive for Freya and Rebecca as they are in Year 5.
Well done to the other members of the team who also worked so hard and equally achieved some brilliant results for our team. Evie Cadman, Grace Pimlott, Charlotte Inshaw, Libby Adams, Lottie Giles, Chloe Hall, Matilda Bungy, Freya Gallagher, Darcie Peers, Natarsha Wadsworth, Chizara Abraham, Isabelle Deakin, Rebecca Prosser, Evie Peers, Isabella Simms and Lydia Dalley.
The running and swimming times were converted to a points system and we are delighted to announce that Saint Martins came in 1st place overall. 8 girls will be selected to represent Solihull Borough at the Level 3 regional competition next February.
