Pop Band delivers Anti-Drugs Message

Girls in Years 7, 8 and 9 took part in an anti-drugs and life skills assembly hosted by Nottingham band In Hindsight.

After performing to the audience the band members led a presentation on drugs and drug abuse resistance strategies, supporting the DARE (Drug Abuse Resistance Education) programme. The main message of the presentation was to make the right decisions in life and to live a healthy lifestyle.

The girls were then able to ask questions about the presentation and the band themselves. In Hindsight are a young pop and rock band who have performed together since 2011. They have played all over the UK and have supported acts such as FutureProof, The Wanted and James Arthur.

The girls said

“I learnt about the effects of drugs, how they are usually falsely associated with fame and glamour.”

“I learnt about the dangers of drugs and alcohol.”

“This reinforced the information that we (Year 9) have already learnt.”
