Girls in Years 3 to 6 took part in the House Swimming gala just before half term. The gala was a huge event with 56 races taking place. There were some excellent fun relays and some highly competitive individual races. All girls showed excellent effort and teamwork skills when encouraging girls in their House.
The results were as follows:
Bronze – Abigail O’Neil with 22 points
Silver – Francesca Gallagher with 23 points
Gold – Emma Fantoni with 24 points
Bronze – Olivia Pitt with 21 points
Silver – Natalia Baker with 22 points
Gold – Carys James with 24 points
Bronze – Nancy Hanson with 31 points
Silver – Lydia Dalley with 32 points
Gold – Rebecca Prosser with 36 points
Bronze – Matilda Bungey with 29 points
Joint Silver – Isobel Hall and Giorgia Dalley with 33 points each
Gold – Charlotte Inshaw with 36 points
As well as these excellent results, 3 School records were broken:
Rebecca Prosser broke the Year 5 Front Crawl record – 17.75 seconds (originally set by A Middleton in 2006 – 18.09s)
Charlotte Inshaw broke the Year 6 Backstroke record – 17.96 seconds (originally set by C Fancott in 2000 – 18.56s)
Charlotte Inshaw broke the Year 6 Butterfly record – 17.15 seconds (originally set by S Stables in 2011 – 17.16s)
Finally, the announcement of the House winners.
In JOINT third place both scoring a total of 322 points were Shields and Cloaks.
In second place scoring 350 points were Swords.
In first place scoring 382 points were Helmets.
