Girls in Reception have been fortunate to study new life in their classroom. They waited patiently for 21 long days until their chicks hatched. The girls had the chance to watch them emerge from their shells and are enjoying observing and recording the changes as their babies grow. Other classes have also visited to share the experience and Reception have shared their knowledge happily. The chicks have provided the girls with invaluable learning experiences, they have learned about life cycles, written fascinating facts and even produced an eBook.
In recognition of Her Majesty The Queen’s 90th birthday the girls have named their chicks Elizabeth I, Elizabeth II and Elizabeth III.
