Hockey Report

Last Monday 3 October, the Year 11s took part in the West Midlands Hockey Tournament at KEHS, in which we came 3rd overall.

Well done to all the girls – they had a total of 5 matches and came against strong opposition. We beat Solihull 1-0, drew to KEHS, EHS and Camp Hill and unfortunately lost to KE Fiveways in the last minute of the game. This was a fantastic and well deserved result to come 3rd in the West Midlands. Well done to all the Year 11 girls and Flo Whatley and Elizabeth Gahan.

On Thursday 6 October the Year 10s played Arden in their second league match. The game started well with Rianna Sembi scoring a goal early on, we then went on to score a further 2 more goals by Emily Jervis supported by Flo Whatley, Hayley Langman, Imogen Onions and Georgie Pearson. However in the second half Arden came back strongly, but with excellent defending by Abigail Bednall, Becky Hardie, Jessica Murphy, Eve Armstrong, and Elizabeth Gahan in goal, we held them back from attacking the D. The final result was 3-0 to Saint Martin’s. Well done to the whole team.
