Girls from Year 9 and 10 took part in the return German exchange visit with our partner school Elisabethen Schule, in Hofheim, near Frankfurt this month.
The girls stayed with their German partner and family, and took part in many activities during the week. Everyone had a fantastic time, practising their German speaking, and were a real credit to themselves and the School. Their friendliness and politeness was remarked upon by our German colleagues – a great week for all.
The link with Elisabethen Schule was first made in 1983 with the help of the Solihull Town Twinning Association. The first visit to Hofheim took place in 1985 with exchanges taking place every two years since. This year we celebrate the 30th anniversary of that first exchange and Saint Martin’s donated a tree to commemorate this anniversary.
