Girls in Year 9 spent a day in the workplace in December, as part of the “Take Our Daughters to Work” project. The aim of the day is to allow girls to shadow a parent, relative, friend or colleague in a senior position to see the opportunities available to them at the highest level of management. This helps the girls to experience a working day, encourages them to plan now for their future professions, and to be ambitious about their future achievements.
Following their working day the girls were tasked with putting together a project to review their experience. These were judged and prizes were awarded in today’s assembly.
Congratulations go to the overall winner Hayley Langman.
Runners-up were Isabel Genway-Haden, Georgina Pearson and Jessica Murphy.
Well done to everyone who took part.
