Sixth Formers and staff spent an amazing 9 days on their trip to China during half term. They visited Beijing, Xi’an and Shanghai and their iconic sites and landmarks including the Great Wall of China, Tiananmen Square, the Temple of Heaven, the Terracota Army Museum and Xi’an City Wall.
The trip to China was an unforgettable experience full of culture and interesting opportunities. Each city we visited was unique and equally enriching in its diversity. The Peking Opera was particularly memorable along with the impressive Great Wall. Xi’an offered a token of the past and it was exciting to see another wonder of the world in the Terracotta Warriors. Finishing the trip with Shanghai felt fitting as every glossy skyscraper represented the future of China, the shopping being another highlight! The whole trip was packed with wonderful experiences that I’ll never forget, and I can now use chop-sticks!
