The return to school every September is usually a sombre affair, after a summer of freedom and fun. However, this year was different as the Sixth Form went into the wild woods of Oxfordshire with the Bushcraft Company, learning how to build shelters and light open fires safely.
In order to bond with the new Lower Sixth, we were split into three tribes, with whom we were to complete our tasks. The Geordie themed tribe, the ‘Why Ayees’ put on a puppet show in the evening, displaying some newfound talents for imitating animals.
We all had a fantastic time, and have grown closer with one another now that we are back into the routine of school life. Thank you to Mrs Smith for organising a wonderful start back into the Sixth Form.
