The Parents’ Association held a Limerick Competition for girls in Years 7 and 8. The winners and runners up of each year will have their entries printed in the PA Summer Fayre programme. There was also a poster competition for younger girls which was won by Molly-Mae Langford and Rosemary O’Connor. Well done everyone!
Here are the winning limerick entries:
There was a young clown called Grace,
Whose act was just a disgrace,
But everyone knew,
The older she grew,
She was sure to fall flat on her face.
There was a clown with a balloon,
Who let go of it too soon,
It went soaring high,
Up in to the sky,
And landed on top of the moon!
There once was a clown called Neil.
Whose unicycle had a square wheel.
With a wibble and wobble,
He began to topple
And let out an almighty squeal!
A Big Top appeared in my town
I decided I had to go down
Where I saw with my eyes
The biggest surprise
My Father was dressed as the clown!
