Alice House

Girls in the Nursery School (from 2 years 9 months) to Year 3 are accommodated in Alice House. As you enter this area of the school you experience the warm and friendly atmosphere in which our youngest pupils thrive and where learning and fun go hand in hand.

Small classes and lots of individual attention ensure that each girl has the opportunity to develop her individual talents.  The secure and caring atmosphere allows everyone to develop confidence and enjoy a happy start to school life.

The breadth of our carefully planned curriculum ensures that the girls have the necessary skills and knowledge to become enthusiastic learners. We encourage the girls to learn through practical experience.  Through work and play they develop confidence and self esteem. Girls encounter new ideas and develop new skills.  During these early years girls progress  rapidly in all areas of learning and begin to work independently.

At the core of planning are the Early Learning Goals and the National Curriculum, however our programmes of study give the opportunity for a much broader education experience from the earliest years.  Experienced specialist subject teachers, outstanding pastoral care and small classes provide a stimulating environment in which to enjoy learning.
