Links with the community
Saint Martin's promotes some excellent and imaginative links within the local area and the wider community.

The Bonfire Night run by the Parents’ Association draws in many local residents and the Harvest Festival celebration also has built up some strong links with local residents over the years.

Members of the Lower Sixth run a Year 4 football club and have organised matches with the local primary schools. Senior girls visit the local Marie Curie Hospice and other local day centres. The annual St Basil’s Sleep Out is always strongly supported by the Sixth Form, which entails sleeping out in a car park to raise money for Birmingham’s homeless.

Local schools and swimming clubs use the facilities such as the swimming pool, and galas for invited schools are regularly held. With extensive grounds, the school hosts many tournaments and league events for the schools in the Solihull area. National training has also been held at Saint Martin’s for up and coming biathletes.

The branch meetings for the National Trust are held at the school and the holiday activity programme, Fun Fest, is continually expanding.
