Fee Assistance and Scholarships

Fee Assistance is given where there are financial grounds and with due regard to the benefit the pupil would gain from being at the School, the potential contribution which would be made by the pupil to the life of the School, and the number of applications received in relation to the funds available. The School does not disclose its financial assessment criteria but it is unlikely that any award would be made if parents’/guardians’ joint income is in excess of £35,000 per annum (gross).

Further information on Fee Assistance is available from the Bursar.

A number of Scholarships are offered each year for entry in Year 7 to the Senior School. Awards are made to candidates who show outstanding ability in the entrance examination and  interview.

Several scholarships are awarded annually to pupils entering the Sixth Form. Candidates are required to sit papers assessing a variety of skills and their potential for further study. Those who are shortlisted are interviewed by the Headmistress and the Head of Sixth Form.

The Christine Tucker Music Scholarship is offered at 11+ to the value of one-third of full fees plus free tuition in one instrument. Other music scholarships are also available.  A Sports Scholarship is also available at this age.
